Rs 100-crore Blue fim!

The cast and crew, including Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt, met recently for a hush-hush meeting to fix budget.
The cast and crew of Shree Ashtavinayak’s Blue met up in secret at a suburban posh hotel last week to sketch out the pre-production plan for the film. In attendance were Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt. The outcome of the meeting was that the budget of the film was set to somewhere close to the 100-crore mark. Money mattersA source at the meeting said, “Tony, an ad filmmaker, who makes his debut as Blue’s director called for the meeting. Tony isn’t from India, and his crew (all foreign nationals) accompanied him in this meeting where cast members Akshay, Sanjay and Lara Dutta, along with the production team of Shree Ashtavinayak had gathered.”Secret AgendaThe source continues, “The agenda for this secretive meeting was to discuss the detailed final draft of the film and also to work on a budget. The production company and the stars were more than impressed with the way Tony and his associates planned the whole meeting. The final budget was pegged at around 100 crores, making it one of the most expensive movies to be made in Bollywood.”“The film will go on the floors tentatively sometime this year-end as the pre-production and other things are being finalised as of now,” the source concludes.Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision remained unavailable for comment.
