Mallika Sherawat in Anarkali andaaz

Like a fish takes to water, actress Mallika Sherawat has taken to her role in Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam .The film has Mallika playing a stage actress. She enacts the role of Anarkali in a play.
Mallika got so deeply involved in her character that she literally slipped into its skin and began behaving like Anarkali on the film’s sets. The actress gave up saying “hi” and “hello” to the film’s cast and crew and began doing “aadaab” to everyone. Not just this, she often broke into impromptu kathak dances in between shooting breaks. This behaviour of Mallika, director Sanjay Chel says, not only created a light atmosphere on the sets but also acted as a stress buster for him. Whenever he would get tired and stressed out, Mallika would entertain him with her Anarkali mannerisms and dances, and thereby infuse positive energy on the sets. The director has apparently become a big fan of Mallika. He says she is an easygoing actress with no airs of a star.‘Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam’ has Mallika pairing with Rahul Bose once again. The film will also feature Mallika in a song titled “Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya”. Music director Anu Malik says the number is inspired from the original song in K Asif’s ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, but it is based on a new melody and has funny lyrics. The shooting of ‘Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam’ is almost complete. Only two songs remain to be shot.
