Russia's female bodyguard killed

MOSCOW: Russian police are hunting for the killer of the country's most famous and glamorous female bodyguard, Anna Loginova. She was killed while trying to defend her vehicle from a carjacker in Moscow. Loginova was a famous Russian model before venturing into the security business and had shot advertising campaigns for many world-known brands. She was trying to fight off the carjacker and clung to the door handle of her Porsche Cayenne on Sunday, reports said. She was killed after being dragged along the street as the car screeched away at high speed. "She suffered serious injuries and died at the scene," a police spokesman was quoted. Loginova took lessons of Jiu-Jitsu martial art and mastered the sword handling. Afterwards, she opened her own security firm for women. In a recent magazine interview, she insisted that she and her team of glamorous bodyguards gave better protection than the more traditional beefy male security men. She posed semi-naked for a Moscow men's magazine to make it clear that she was feminine as well as good with a gun. Four months ago, Loginova had thwarted another car thief. "I stepped out of my car and closed the door when I suddenly saw a young man near me. He grabbed me by the arm in which I was holding the car keys," she said. "By reflex, I used a jiu-jitsu technique. He immediately jumped into his Honda and drove away."
