13 crushed to death by train in Surat

SURAT: At least 13 people were crushed to death under a train in Udhna district on Wednesday night, Railway police said. Bodies of victims, including two women and two children, were spotted besides the track by a driver of another train, they said. The driver of train 'Flying Rani', which runs between Surat and Mumbai, immediately informed the authorities of the incident, Railway Police Inspector H M Patel said. Investigations were on to determine the circumstances under which the accident took place, he added.
