Items girls do hard work if this story is anything to go by. Recently, Dia Mirza had to shoot an item number titled Soni Main Soni for director Ashu Trikha’s film Zindagi Tere Naam, in the biting cold of Jaipur. The exotic song was shot on four chilly winter nights near Jaipur’s Sisodia Gardens in January. While the rest of the cast and crew was wrapped in several layers of warm clothes, skimpily-dressed Dia had to run for cover after each shot. Oh, the irony, we say.'' Recalls Ashu Trikha, “We used to shoot from six in the evening to seven in the morning. In fact, even the locals were surprised to see us shooting in the extreme cold. I was amazed by Dia's commitment.” When quizzed as to how tough it was shooting in Jaipur at 2 degrees Celsius, clad in skimpy clothes, Diya Mirza said, “Yes, it was very cold and the chilly breeze made it worse. But Ashu is a good friend and I would do anything for him. I faced the camera for the first time for his film Deewanapan and I owe this to him.” That’s a big price to pay by any stretch. Perhaps Dia just needs a ‘chill’ pill, what say?
