Taare Zameen Par, superhit without a lead actor?

Mumbai: It’s just been a week since the Screen Awards were announced but the honours seem to have rankled Darsheel Safary, the young protagonist of Aamir Khan's directorial debut Taare Zameen Par.
Darsheel, who is by now used to people stopping by and giving him a pat on his back for his performance, has some reservations with the way the Screen Awards placed him under the Best Child Actor category instead of the Best Actor one.
“I'm also a lead actor na. Saif Ali Khan in Tara Rum Pum was a lead actor, there were two kids in it but he was a lead actor,” Darsheel tried to explain.
And even before you can say anything, Darsheel comes up with a disclaimer claiming that he was happy once he also received the special jury award at the same ceremony.
“I'm very happy with the jury award,” the little actor hastened to add.
The Screen Awards for their part stand by its decision. “The jury stands by what they have said, ‘we realise that Darsheel is a child and we understand his disappointment but he must realise that not everyone can win’,” Editor of Screen Priyanaka Sinha said.
But there is a pertinent question that begs to be answered, if Aamir Khan was nominated in the best supporting actor category for Taare Zameen Par and if Darsheel won a best child artiste award for the same film then who would be the right person for best male actor in a lead role for the film?
